The Georgetown Bridge2Bridge Half Marathon and 5K races took place in historic Georgetown SC on October 11, and it was a huge success!

5K race runners began on Front Street in historic downtown Georgetown, passing by an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, and historic landmarks including the famous clock tower at the Rice museum. The race course curved through residential areas and tree-lined streets, past the Black and Waccamaw Rivers, and then back to the finish line.

The 12K and Half marathon race courses pressed on to Georgetown’s gateway bridges, crossing the Black and Waccamaw River bridges before returning to the finish line on Front Street.

A YMCA Kid’s Fun Run was also held, with children 6 years and under tackling the 100-yard run and 7- 12-year-olds taking on the 1/4 mile.

We had a blast!  Check out our gallery and tell us what you think!
