The Grand Strand is full of great ways to celebrate the Easter holiday. Visitors and locals will find a lot to do including brunches with the Easter Bunny, egg hunts, dinners, and more.

With so much to see and do, it can be hard to know where to start, so here’s a guide to all of the ins and outs of Easter on the beach!


April 8

In Conway: Annual egg hunt festival 10 a.m. Saturday at Billy Gardner Recreation Complex, 1515 Mill Pond Road, near shelter, with hunts at 11 a.m. for ages 1-2, 11:15 for ages 3-5, 11:30 ages 6-8, and 11:45 ages 9-12; also seventh annual “Twi-Light Egg Hunt,” for ages 11-13, at dusk (about 8 p.m.) April 13 at Riverfront Park, on Elm Street. 843-488-1950 or www.conwayparksandrecreation.com.

Take a break from the kitchen and enjoy Easter brunch or dinner at one of the many restaurants along the Grand Strand. Several local restaurants are offering special menus and buffets to celebrate the day.

Brentwood Restaurant will host Easter Dinner from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Dinner is $27.95 per person, $9.95 for kids 10 & under. The Family-style menu includes roasted turkey, ham, roasted leg of lamb, sides, desserts and more. Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant – Have all the crab legs, seafood, prime rib and more that you can eat! The $34.99 buffet is open from 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Make reservations by calling 843-916-2278.

Castano’s Italian Steakhouse will have a special of Honey Glazed Ham with Red Skin Potatoes and Glazed Carrots Roasted Garlic and Rosemary Leg of Lamb with Red Skin Potatoes and Glazed Carrots on Easter Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. The Easter Bunny will be there until 7 p.m. to give away treats and Easter eggs. 843-361-2000.

Chestnut Hill Restaurant will have Easter brunch from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and dinner from 4-9 p.m. Brunch items include a carving station with roasted leg of lamb, prime rib and ham, seafood, eggs Benedict, and French toast. Dinner selections include rack of lamb, prime rib, and chicken ravioli.

Crady’s Eclectic Cuisine on Main will host Easter brunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Call for reservations and specials. 843-248-3321-

Croissants Bistro & Bakery will offer Easter brunch from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Call 843-448-2253 for reservations.

House of Blues will host its Gospel Brunch on Easter Sunday. Along with the live music enjoy buffet items that include Slow Roasted Top Round of Beef served with horseradish cream sauce and aujus, Baked Honey Ham served with creole mustard sauce, Asian noodle salad and more. $33 Adults and $16.50 for children ages 4-10 (children under 4 are free). 843-913-3746 for more info and reservations.

Dead Dog Saloon will host Easter brunch from 9 am.-1 p.m. The all-you-can-eat buffet will feature items such as omelettes, French toast, corned beef hash, and biscuits and gravy. $21.95 for adults and $9.95 for kids 12 and under. 843-651-0664.

Gulf Stream Cafe will host Easter Brunch from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Brunch is $19.95 adults, $9.95 kids. The buffet will include a carving station, omelet station, breakfast meats, chilled shrimp, fried cod, mussels in garlic cream sauce with pasta, and much more. Click here to make reservations.

Marina Inn at Grande Dunes will host East Brunch from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Brunch includes made-to-order omelets, carving station, grilled salmon and much more. The buffet is $42 for adults, $9.95 for children 4-12, 3 and under are free. Make your reservations by calling 843-913-2858

Salt Water Creek Cafe will host brunch from 10 am.-2 p.m. Brunch items include ham, mac ‘n’cheese, pineapple stuffing, and mashed sweet potatoes. Their full menu will also be available.
