Lauren is a rare and endangered species around these parts – a native South Carolinian. She can’t remember her first visit to the beach, because she was just a few months old.
She came home to Pawleys Island after college and hasn’t left Georgetown County since. Now she lives in the city of Georgetown with her husband, also a native, so their history in the area runs deep. If she doesn’t know the answer to your question, she probably knows someone who does.
She works with the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce as Tourism Marketing Director. The website she maintains, hammockcoastsc.com, has more information on the “south end” of the Grand Strand – aka The Hammock Coast.
Lauren just took up golf, and if it doesn’t kill her, wants to play all the courses on the Waccamaw Golf Trail. She also loves kayaking, dining out, good books, cold drinks and dancing “The Shag” with her hubs.
